Parent Coordination & Facilitation

Helping you successfully co-parent…

As a Parent Facilitator, I act as a neutral third party appointed by the court to help families in high conflict learn how to co-parent successfully and remain child-focused.

I can help show you how to work through the difficult feelings of divorce while learning how to co-parent effectively in a mutually respectful way. You will learn how to understand your child’s needs as they also navigate the loss and change of their family due to separation.

We’ll implement with your co-parent agreed-upon workable strategies and procedures for day-to-day living in a two-home environment. I will meet with parents both jointly and individually and children (with or without the parents), review reports and written information, and consult with others involved with the family.

The precise nature of our work together will be outlined in the court order, and I will be reporting back to the court on each parent’s progress and participation.

Parent Coordination utilizes the same approach as Parent Facilitation.

But our sessions together remain confidential to the court. The court order will need to specify whether our sessions are for Parent Facilitation or Parent Coordination.

I meet with each parent individually for the first session. The remaining sessions will be joint. After meeting with each parent, we will determine if the joint parent facilitation/coordination sessions should be held in person or if virtual sessions would be best.

Fees: $150 per hour, divided between both parents. Reviewing any documents and written information or consultation with others are charged at $150 an hour, billed in 15-minute increments.
