The Path Forward Support Services is a mind/body-based practice. We utilize therapeutic modalities to help you process experiences and emotions both cognitively and somatically. Talk therapy alone is often not enough to help us heal from past difficulties and regulate our nervous system so we can move forward. So often, events that we experienced in the past continue to have strong emotional charges when we are reminded of them. This is because emotions are felt in the body and can sometimes get stuck.
By using a mind/body approach to therapy, we help clients gain insight into their thinking styles and limiting beliefs they hold based on their lifelong story of experiences. When strong emotions continue to arise, which is based on our interpretation of an event that is shaped by our, often subconscious, beliefs, tools can be used in our sessions to help turn down the “emotional volume” of these experiences. Our approach will help you regain a sense of control over your life so you no longer feel stuck in an endless loop of distressful or uncomfortable thoughts and feelings.
